Cream Chair

Cream Chair, designed for the italian manufacturer Calligaris, references the popular summer creamsicles, while re-interpreting the classic image of wooden kitchen chairs. The design aims to build a bridge between wood and plastics with the whole project playing around the connections between the chosen materials. The seat and back of the chair are composed of a thermoplastic polymer composed of 35 percent recycled materials, selected for its structural and superficial properties, mounted onto a wooden structure.

Cream Chair has been introduced during Milan Design Week 2011 and has been awarded with Young & Design Award 2011 3rd prize and the Interior Innovation Award 2012.
